Daadi suggests second marriage for the heir of their family. Amit marries Devika without informing Sangita. Sangita is shocked and shattered. On the first night, Devika says to Amit that she knows he loves Sangita very much. He has done contractual marriage with Devika only for the heir of the family. Sangita fights for her rights and daadi warns her to stay away from both Amit and Devika as even her presence is unlucky according to the pandit. Daadi also warns Devika that if she wont give the heir of the family , then she would be thrown out of the house. Devika bribes panditji and says him to follow whatever she says. As per panditji’s instruction Sangita is locked inside the room while Devika enjoys all the luxuries. Devika gives the fake news that she is pregnant.
